The fashion industry is taking center stage with 2021 movies like Cruella and House of Gucci. While doling out epic costumes and plots, these films know how to amp up the drama. With performances from the loveable Emma Stone and multi-talented Lady Gaga, there’s no room left to wonder how Cruella and House of Gucci are grabbing everyone’s attention. That’s not to say that the fashions in these films aren’t iconic in their own right. Let’s roll through the style credits, shall we?

A jaded orphan with a punk rock agenda, to say that any of Cruella’s clothes are less than a statement would be, well… an understatement. Inspired by London’s glam rock revolution of the ’70s, these looks will crash any party in the best way. According to POPSUGAR., Oscar and Tony Award-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan was nervous about taking on the project. However, she did such an absolutely breathtaking job, leaving nothing more for our stylish hearts to ask for!

Power Jackets

A leather jacket is a perfect accessory for many occasions, including confronting your arch-nemesis. Paired with glittery leather pants and thigh-high boots, Emma Stone’s outfit is a nod to 80s fashion. Black blazers and leather jackets with zippers are other cool options. You could even pair one of these choices with a skirt!

Dramatic Red

Red isn’t just the color of romance anymore. In the film, Cruella flaunts her style passion by turning one of her competitor’s past designs into a whole new look. You could replicate this red dress or don a classy puff sleeve blouse for fall. Long-sleeve shirts and velour crop tops are also wonderful in red. However you wear it, this color will turn heads at any party.

Dalmatian Flair

Cruella struts at her own runway event in a black and white dress/coat ensemble made of faux dalmatian fur. Talk about diabolical! Change up your dress wardrobe by adding dramatic black and white patterns.

Sleek Contrast

This leather jacket/shirt combo is outrageously bold. Contrast outfits featuring black and white are always a chic choice. As you can see below, there are unlimited options for your black and white wardrobe. Throughout the film, Cruella shows us that there are many ways to slay in this look.

House of Gucci

Releasing November 24th, House of Gucci will be the glamorous murder-mystery biopic you’ve been waiting for. The film stars Lady Gaga as Patrizia Gucci, the head of Gucci Fashion House, and Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci. Director Ridley Scott captures the suspense surrounding the death of the socialite’s husband in the mid-90s. The story appears to be riddled with passion, greed, and an abundance of superb outfits. We can’t get enough of these preview looks!

Voluptuous Outerwear

Layer up in a dramatic overcoat to achieve Lady Gaga’s sophisticated style. The actress/singer looks magnificent in a long camel fur coat and leather coat. A voluptuous coat is a signature wardrobe piece for any starlet. Pair with a handbag and pumps to look extra Gucci!

Delicate Prints and Collar Dresses

The House of Gucci star shows us that a collared dress with polka dots is a beautifully breezy combination. It’s the perfect professional attire if you want to feel carefree while at work. Lady Gaga shows us how to have fun on the job in this look! Good thing we’ve got many prints and collared dresses to go around this season.

Sweet Lace

This lace cape is uniquely angelic. Lace dresses and shirts are great for keeping you covered and cool in the summertime. Who would have thought to create a separate lace overlay to match with a strapless dress. Gucci did! J.ING has several new lace pieces coming in just in time for this trend.

Luxurious Leopard Print

My, oh my, check out this magnificent display of animal print. Lady Gaga went faux method in preparation for her role as Patrizia Gucci. She looks stunning with a pearl necklace, pumps, and a green handbag for a pop of color. If you’re looking to make an appearance in a fierce pattern, try our mocha leopard print skirt and pink leopard print dress.

Preppy Scarves and Plaid

Gingham is back again, and this includes the abundance of plaid co-rds that 2021’s been seeing. Try an ascot or bright zig-zag scarf if you want to complete the posh and preppy attire. Longer blazers and short sleeve blazer skirt sets are a great way to replicate this look from the film.

These outfits were made for the big screen, and we can’t get enough. You can shop the most popular fashion items on our official J.ING website. What’s your favorite movie style moment from this blog? Will you be seeing House of Gucci this fall?
