Hour of the Flower

Flowers Never Go Out of Style

  • Floral patterns are always en vogue but they're never as popular in fashion than during Spring and Summer months
  • Roses are on the rise in the fashion world, although flowers of all colors and types can make a beautiful pattern
  • In fashion, flower motifs can be applied through various different methods, such as silk-screen printing, graphic printing, burn-out printing, dying, weaving, appliques and embroidery

Flowers have withstood the test of time and their qualities are some of the most ancient and widely used in everything from holistic healthcare to perfumes, dyes to teas and tonics - and nobody can deny the beauty of a rose.

The hour of the flower is definitely here - even if their ephemeral beauty is ever-fleeting.

Flower Prints On Clothing

This Spring, we saw floral motifs inundate the runways of prestigious fashion houses; Dolce & Gabbana's central theme was based around floral designs that resembled the traditional Spanish style of romantic Andalusian dresses worn by Flamenco dancers.

Newer luxe-fashion brands like We Are Kindred also based their Spring 2019 collection on flowy floral gowns. Flowers exude femininity, softness and romance - as evidenced by the floral fashions below.
